Applied forest management

The development of tools that facilitate decision making for forest planning and management is one of the pillars of our R&D work.

The efficient management of natural resources is especially important in the current context of scarcity of economic resources, the need for the multifunctional management of our ecosystems and the uncertainty associated with global change. We use cutting edge methods of quantitative ecology that are widely endorsed by the scientific community. We work in the development of instruments to assist the decision making process in the areas of forest management, conservation of biodiversity and the management of habitats and priority ecosystems.
